Fava – a velvety cream made from yellow peas, whose secret lies in its simplicity and additions.
Stifado – an aromatic stew with cinnamon bark, sweet wine and caramelised onions, available in two versions: classic meat and vegetarian with gigantes beans.
Sweet finale – a dessert of contrasts: crunchy, salty and honey-sesame, just like Greece – unexpected and unforgettable.
It is not enough to know the recipes to talk about Greece – you have to feel it. I felt it with all my senses: from the first cup of frozen fredo in Crete, through sun-warmed figs straight from the tree, to conversations with people who share not only food at the table, but their whole lives.
For over 10 years, I returned to the place where the sea meets the mountains and the cuisine is so simple that it is brilliant. It is these experiences and travels, as well as our own story described in the book ‘Crete. The Chosen Island’ that make Greek flavours dear to my heart, not just in recipes.
I invite you to a cooking workshop at Przystanek 11 in Zabrze, where we will create an evening like in a Greek taverna.
This will not be just a cooking workshop. It will be a meeting where a recipe becomes a story, and cooking together becomes a journey to places where time passes more slowly and the taste remains in your memory for a long time.
