I am now a Baptist Church minister but from 1997 until 2003 I was one of the tutors on the English Language programme at the University of Liverpool. This means that I love people and I love socialising. In England, when people get together, they almost always eat something and have a few drinks too. That means cooking is an essential skill for anyone who wants a social life.
I love people and I have a gift of communication. It has often been said that people with limited English can understand me even when they can not understand other English people. I am very proud of that. I am also an experienced teacher. I have taught theology, English literature and language and English for speakers of other languages. I have taught in England, in five states of America, in Hong Kong and the Philippines.
I hope this means I have a lot of patience and a good sense of humour. My classes are always relaxed and informal and I welcome questions and conversation with students.
